Liora means light. The word came to me while I was working on my webpage. At first, it was just an example. But I fell in love with it and its meaning. I received it as a gift. It is a gift. I was born in the Russian North, and now I live in Sweden. I know what it means to welcome light and to feel how much it changes. Perhaps that is why Liora felt so close to me. My own path has been a process of unlearning and learning. I have learned to see the beliefs and strategies that shape my life, and to let go of those that no longer serve me. I have been unlearning the habit of pushing emotions away and of being frozen in my body. I am learning to welcome what I feel, give my body space to express itself, and become a friend to my nervous system. Along this path, I became an educator, a coach, and a therapist. I learned Qigong and the Compassionate Inquiry of Gabor Mate. These practices have helped me work with my own experiences, and they are part of how I support others today. When you come into the space of Liora, I offer you my presence. Together, we can listen to what is happening in your body, welcome the emotions that are here, and shed light on the patterns shaping your life.
